Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), Bengaluru invites applications for full-time PhD positions under the Faculty of Civil Engineering as part of the DSCE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2025. Selected candidates will work within Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU)-recognized research centers and contribute to advanced studies addressing emerging challenges in civil and infrastructure engineering. Applicants may pursue research in the following specializations: 1. Structural Engineering 2. Geotechnical Engineering 3. Transportation Engineering 4. Water Resources Engineering 5. Environmental Engineering 6. Construction Technology & Management 7. Remote Sensing & GIS Applications 8. Urban Planning & Smart Cities Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Conduct original research in any approved Civil Engineering discipline. 2. Perform analytical, experimental, or simulation-based investigations. 3. Publish research findings in reputed journals and present at conferences. 4. Collaborate with faculty mentors, research groups, and industry experts. 5. Participate in laboratory work, field studies, documentation, and progress reviews. Eligibility : 1. Must meet VTU norms for PhD admission. 2. Candidates must have a valid VTU-ETR score, or qualification in UGC-NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE or similar national-level examinations recognized by VTU. 3. Should possess the minimum qualifying marks as required by the exam authorities. 4. Open to candidates with a strong academic background in Civil Engineering or relevant specializations.
