Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), Bengaluru invites applications for full-time PhD positions under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering as part of the DSCE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2025. Selected scholars will contribute to cutting-edge research in core and emerging mechanical engineering domains under Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU)-recognized centers. Candidates may apply for research in the following specializations: 1. Mechanical Engineering 2. Aeronautical Engineering 3. Automotive Engineering Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Carry out independent research in any approved Mechanical Engineering specialization. 2. Perform experimental, analytical, or simulation-based investigations. 3. Publish research papers in reputable SCI-indexed journals and conferences. 4. Work closely with faculty mentors, industry collaborators, and interdisciplinary teams. 5. Assist in laboratory activities, prototype development, technical documentation, and periodic research progress reviews. Eligibility: 1. Must meet VTU norms for PhD admission. 2. Must have a valid VTU-ETR score, or qualification in UGC-NET (including JRF) / GATE / SLET or any equivalent exam recognized by VTU. 3. Should meet minimum qualifying marks as mandated by VTU/exam authorities. 4. Candidates with strong academic backgrounds in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
