Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, from Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai (IIT Bhilai), is accepting interns interested in the field of Mechanical Engineering, in the research area of Mechanics of Solids and Structures .
This internship focuses on the noncontact structural health monitoring (SHM) of critical structural components using advanced nondestructive testing (NDT) methods. The work involves designing and conducting experiments, performing modal analysis, and developing accurate mathematical models of structural behavior. In addition, the internship integrates simulation-based approaches with hands-on experimentation, supported by MATLAB/Python coding for data processing, signal analysis, and result visualization. The project aims to contribute towards efficient, reliable, and cost-effective SHM frameworks for ensuring the safety and longevity of engineering structures.
