About Internship

Associate Professor from Anna University, Chennai, is accepting interns interested in the field of Physics, in the research area of Nanoscale Physics.

The selected interns will be focusing on microelectronics based on spintronic materials. The main responsibility involves exploring and developing next-generation electronic devices that utilise the spin of electrons, in addition to their charge, for enhanced functionality and energy efficiency. The work includes hands-on tasks such as designing, fabricating, and characterising spintronic components like magnetic tunnel junctions, spin valves, and nanomagnetic memory elements within microelectronic circuits. In this role, one must conduct experiments with advanced materials, analyse magnetic and electrical properties, and apply simulation techniques to optimise device performance for applications such as nonvolatile memory, magnetic sensors, logic circuits, and neuromorphic computing. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, constant learning in nanofabrication and measurement methodologies, and active participation in developing scalable, sustainable solutions for future microelectronics platforms are also key aspects of this position.
