Assistant Professor from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (AKTU Lucknow), is accepting interns interested in the field of Biology, in the research area of Cell Biology.

The Advanced Cell Biology Research Internship offers life-science students practical exposure to cellular structure, function, and core experimental methodologies. The program is designed to develop a strong understanding of cellular mechanisms while building essential laboratory and analytical skills used in modern biological research. Over the 4–8 week internship, participants will study key concepts such as cell morphology, membrane architecture, organelle functions, cell division, intracellular transport, and cell–cell communication. The curriculum also introduces advanced topics including stem cells, signaling pathways, apoptosis, and cancer cell biology. A major component of the internship focuses on hands-on technical training. Students will gain experience in microscopy, slide preparation, staining methods, cell counting, culture basics (where applicable), and fundamental biochemical assays. They will undertake mini-projects such as assessing stages of mitosis, examining environmental impacts on cell morphology, or comparing viability in treated vs. untreated cells. In addition, interns will learn essential research practices, including literature review, data interpretation, graphical analysis, and scientific documentation. Each participant will prepare a short research proposal, maintain observation records, and present a final report at the end of the program. All activities will be conducted in accordance with biosafety and ethical guidelines.
