About Internship

Senior Research Fellow and PhD Scholar , Department of Department of History , from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut (CCS Meerut), is accepting interns interested in the field of History, in the research area of Modern Indian History .

INARA (Internship on Nationalism and Aurobindo’s Revolutionary Approach) is a unique academic initiative aimed at engaging young minds with the transformative ideas of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh, one of India’s foremost nationalist thinkers, philosophers, and revolutionaries. This internship is designed to provide students with a deep, research-oriented understanding of Aurobindo’s role in the Indian freedom struggle, his philosophical evolution, and his vision of nationalism rooted in spiritual awakening and self-realization. INARA offers an intellectually stimulating environment where interns will explore Aurobindo’s early revolutionary writings, such as Bande Mataram and Karmayogin, alongside his later philosophical works like The Life Divine and Essays on the Gita. The program will focus on themes such as integral nationalism, cultural resurgence, spiritual politics, and the synthesis of Eastern and Western thought. Interns will engage in guided readings, group discussions, short research projects, and presentations. They will also have the opportunity to publish their work in the program’s annual journal or blog. The internship encourages critical thinking, independent research, and academic writing—skills essential for budding scholars of history, political science, and philosophy. Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of humanities and social sciences, INARA seeks to build a community of young researchers passionate about rediscovering and reinterpreting the intellectual legacy of Sri Aurobindo in the contemporary world. Candidates well versed with research methodologies are preferred.
