About Internship

Associate Professor from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bibinagar (AIIMS Bibinagar), is accepting interns interested in the field of Mechanical Engineering, in the research area of Finite Element Analysis.

This internship focuses on the development and analysis of finite element (FE) models for orthopaedic fracture fixation systems using clinical CT (DICOM) data. Interns will work on reconstructing anatomical geometries, preparing computational meshes, and simulating bone–implant interaction under various static and dynamic loading conditions. The objective of the project is to evaluate the biomechanical behavior of fracture fixation constructs, including implant stability, bone–implant interface mechanics, and structural response across different fracture configurations. Interns will gain hands-on experience in: 1. Medical image processing and 3D reconstruction 2. Finite element modeling and simulation 3. Biomechanical analysis and result interpretation 4. Scientific writing and documentation This internship also provides opportunities to contribute to research publications and extend the work into experimental and computational validation studies.
