About Internship

Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University Navi Mumbai, is accepting interns interested in the field of Psychology, in the research area of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

This research project explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and mental health, focusing specifically on the concept of trust. As AI tools become increasingly integrated into mental health services—from chatbots and digital therapy platforms to diagnostic algorithms—it is essential to understand how users perceive and develop trust in these tools. The study aims to examine factors influencing trust, such as perceived empathy, accuracy, data privacy, cultural sensitivity, and human-AI interaction dynamics. Internship Scope: Selected interns will be given the opportunity to actively contribute to various stages of the project. This includes: 1. Conducting literature reviews on trust, AI ethics, and mental health technologies. 2. Assisting in the design and distribution of surveys or interview protocols. 3. Supporting qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. 4. Engaging in discussions on ethical implications and user perspectives. 5. Contributing to report writing, publications, or dissemination materials. Interns will gain experience in interdisciplinary research, with mentorship and guidance provided during the project. The opportunity is eligible for those interested in the fields of psychology, AI, digital mental health, and user experience research.
