Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science Engineering, from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore (VIT Vellore) , is accepting interns interested in the field of Computer Science Engineering , in the research area of Cyber Security .

This project could revolutionize the field of malware investigation by paving the way for innovative tools that can comprehensively grasp how malware interacts with a computer's resources. Unlike conventional antivirus software, which relies primarily on hash values for malware detection – a method that can be easily bypassed by encrypted malware – this project aims to introduce a more robust approach. By harnessing the insights and computations demonstrated in this project, we can develop tools capable of identifying the presence of specific malware and conducting in-depth analysis through a similarity index. This advancement promises to enhance our ability to detect and thwart sophisticated malware attacks, including ransomware assaults. In essence, this project offers the potential to usher in a new era of cybersecurity, where advanced malware attacks can be proactively analyzed and prevented, ultimately strengthening the security of computer systems against evolving threats. This project will be a catalyst, unlocking the gateway to developing next-generation malware analysis and detection tools.
