Assistant Professor from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala (TIET Patiala), is accepting interns interested in the field of Commerce, in the research area of Data Analysis.

This interdisciplinary internship focuses on empowering rural women farmers and artisans in Punjab through sustainable practices, digital enablement, and data-driven interventions aimed at carbon reduction and financial growth. Interns will actively participate in field-based research and community engagement activities across selected villages in Punjab. The duration of this internship is 6 months but it can be extended upto 12 months depending upon the requirements of the project. Key responsibilities include assisting in fieldwork, conducting structured surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions to assess socio-economic conditions, sustainability practices, and digital adoption levels. Interns will support sensitisation and skill development workshops focused on sustainable agriculture, low-carbon practices, financial literacy, and digital entrepreneurship. The internship also involves assisting in data collection, analysis, case study documentation, and report preparation to evaluate project outcomes. Interns will contribute to the development and management of digital platforms aimed at enhancing market access, visibility, and financial inclusion for rural women entrepreneurs. Throughout the internship, students will work closely with the Principal Investigator and project collaborators, gaining exposure to interdisciplinary research methodologies, sustainability-driven management strategies, and technology-enabled rural development initiatives.
