About Internship

Assistant Professor from A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemistry, in the research area of Nano-Chemistry.

This internship offers students a hands-on opportunity to explore the intersection of nano-chemistry, biotechnology, and marine biology through the study of a selected mollusc species (squid). The project focuses on understanding the biochemical properties, nano-scale characteristics, and pharmacological potential of marine organisms, with an emphasis on applying modern analytical and computational tools. During the internship, interns will: 1. Study the biochemical composition and structural features of the chosen marine mollusc. 2. Explore nano-chemical properties of biological samples, including preparation, observation, and analysis of nano-scale structures. 3. Review pharmacologically relevant compounds found in marine species and understand their potential biomedical applications. 4. Work with biotechnology-related datasets, including DNA or genetic information where available. 5. Conduct survey-based research using tools like SPSS to analyze data patterns, correlations, and scientific hypotheses. 6. Assist in interpreting research findings, preparing summaries, visual representations, and supporting literature-based insights. 7.Participate in regular discussion sessions with the supervising professor to refine analysis and understand advanced concepts. By the end of the internship, interns will develop: 1. A strong understanding of nano-chemistry concepts applied to biological and marine systems. 2. Skills in biochemical data interpretation, research documentation, and the use of statistical tools such as SPSS. 3. Exposure to interdisciplinary research combining chemistry, marine biology, biotechnology, and pharmacology. 4. Experience in scientific communication through notes, presentations, and structured research outputs. Who can apply: Students from Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Marine Biology, Nano-Science, Pharmacology, Zoology, Life Sciences, and related fields can apply.
