What is the Common Application Process for internships
after becoming a Konnifel Member?
One Application, Multiple Opportunities
Once a candidate becomes a Konnifel Member, they become eligible to apply for any and all opportunities through one 3-step common application process. At the end of this process, their Common Research Application is created which can be used for all internships and opportunities. The endeavour is to provide a level playing field and a hassle-free experience.
STEP 1
Fill the Common Application Form
Add academic details, skill details, research interests and upload supporting documents.
STEP 2
Submit the Statement of Purpose
Upload a Statement of Purpose explaining your interest in internships and research. This shall be attached to your application and transferred to the professors of all the internships you select to apply for.
STEP 3
Appear for Fundamental Research Skills Test
Appear for a 1 hour Test comprising of an MCQ section and an online interview. The MCQ section will test you on 5 fundamental research skills commensurate to high-school level of difficulty- Comprehension & Writing, Basic Maths and Statistics, Critical Reasoning, Basic Data Analysis, and, Qualitative Analysis.
The Interview will not assess a candidate's knowledge. It will be a personality round, with questions on your interest in research, work-ethic, future academic goals, etc.
